Tomorrow, Friday, 21 May 2021, Democratic Alliance (DA) Councillor, Portia Burrell, will lead a march to the Stilfontein Police Station against the increase of crime in the area.
Stilfontein is plagued by criminal activities such as muggings, drug dealings, theft and house burglaries.
Police have offered community members little to no help, and are not providing effective policing in the area. The DA will hand in a memorandum of demands to the SAPS station commander, requesting immediate intervention to improve policing in Stilfontein.
The march will be joined by DA activists, local councillors and community members.
