DA Constituency Head for Tswaing, along with North West Provincial Leader, Freddy Sonakile will open a criminal case at Ottosdal Police Station tomorrow, 22 September 2026, at 10:00.
The case follows serious findings contained in the Section 106 investigation into Tswaing Local Municipality, including alleged irregular payments and appointments, questionable council resolutions, concerns surrounding approximately R47.7 million in litigation expenditure, procurement irregularities and an attempted transaction involving municipal land.
The DA is calling for an investigation into suspected fraud, forgery and the fraudulent use of documents, theft, corruption, and possible contraventions of the MFMA, among other offences.
