  • The DA has introduced candidates for all 14 wards in Ratlou, with a clear plan to win government and deliver change.
  • Our candidates bring professional skills, community experience and a commitment to accountable local government.
  • The DA’s Working for All Manifesto puts competent government, reliable basic services and fair opportunities at the centre of our offer to Ratlou residents.

The Democratic Alliance has taken our campaign directly into Ratlou, introducing 14 candidates for all 14 wards as our team prepares to contest the upcoming Local Government Elections.

There are no forgotten wards and no corners of Ratlou that the DA is prepared to overlook.

Our candidates bring a broad range of skills and community experience, including an attorney, community development officer, media personality, School Governing Body members, a member of traditional leadership, the current MPAC Chairperson, a sports trainer, youth developer and reading champion.

This is not simply a team assembled to contest an election. It is a team being prepared to govern.

Ratlou residents deserve better than a municipality where improved audit outcomes do not translate into improved lives.

Communities continue to face water challenges, incomplete projects and limited economic opportunities, while residents remain concerned that access to opportunities can depend on political connections rather than merit.

Re batla dilo tsa motheo di dirwe sentle — we want the basics to be done properly.

That is at the heart of the DA’s Working for All Manifesto 2026: professional and accountable local government that delivers reliable basic services, manages public resources responsibly and creates an environment where residents and businesses can thrive.

The people of Ratlou deserve water that runs, projects that are completed, opportunities that are fairly accessible and councillors who remain accountable to the communities they serve.

Our 14 candidates are ready to take that message into every ward, village and community in Ratlou.

Fourteen wards. Fourteen candidates. One team. One mission: get Ratlou working for all.

The DA’s campaign in Ratlou is now fully underway.

Leadership that shows up.

Government that works.
