Tomorrow, Thursday 17 October 2019, the Democratic Alliance Women’s Network (DAWN) Matlosana Chairperson, Gloria Malete and Councillor Maritha Coetzee will be in Hartbeesfontein Court to support a victim of gender-based violence.
They will be joined by DA activists and local councillors.
The North West has one of the highest prevalence of gender-based violence. This is not only an indication of vulnerability of women in this province but it also shows how the constant threat of violence has diminished their ability to feel safe and protected.
DAWN will stand in solidarity with the victim and all women against the scourge of gender-based violence.
