Today, Wednesday 13 November, Democratic Alliance (DA) Caucus Leader, Winston Rabotapi MPL, DA Chief Whip, Freddy Sonakile MPL, Jacqueline Theologo MPL, and Gavin Edwards MPL, will brief the media on the Committee Report adopted by the Standing Committee on Oversight of the Legislature on their Annual Report, scheduled to be debated today, but with a sinister turn of events, called to a halt by the presiding officer and the Chairperson of the committee, De Wet Nel MPL and FF+ Caucus Leader.
Nel, admitted that ANC Chair of Chairs, Mmoloki Cwaile MPL, assisted him with his presentation notes on this debate until 3:00 in the morning. During which time they deliberated and essentially decided on behalf of the entire committee that the debate would not go ahead as scheduled.
It is clear that the FF+ and ANC are trying to hide the controversial inputs and deliberations in the report, and that the FF+ feels the need to protect the Speaker of the house.
