As the 2026 Local Government Elections campaign enters its final days, the Democratic Alliance calls on every registered voter in North West to make their voice heard at the ballot box on Wednesday, 4 November.
Over the past months, the DA has travelled across the province, from traditional strongholds to villages, townships and communities where the party has historically had limited support.
Throughout this campaign, we have witnessed the consequences of municipal failure: dry taps, collapsing infrastructure, sewage-filled streets and deteriorating local economies that leave residents without opportunities for employment and a better future.
We have also encountered residents who are demanding greater accountability, reliable basic services and municipalities that respond to the needs of their communities.
Our message throughout this campaign has been clear: Stop the Chaos. Start Service Delivery.
On 4 November, voters will have the opportunity to determine the future leadership of their municipalities. The DA has presented our plans to restore financial discipline, improve basic services, rebuild infrastructure and create an environment where businesses can invest and jobs can be created.
However, elections are not decided by campaign meetings, opinion polls or public sentiment. They are decided by the votes cast at the ballot box.
We encourage every registered voter to exercise their democratic right and participate in this important election.
The future of our municipalities will be determined by those who turn out to vote DA on 4 November.
