In exactly one week, voting stations across the province will open in what is expected to be a landmark local government election. The DA in North West is ready to welcome voters at the ballot box on election day, Wednesday, 04 November 2026.
It has been an intense local government elections campaign over the last 18 months.
We are proud that all DA public representatives, councillor candidates, branches, and activists have crisscrossed every corner of the North West taking our message of hope to every ward in every municipality.
We are encouraged by the positive reception the DA has received wherever we went.
As we approach the close of this campaign, the future sustainability of every North West municipality now rest in the hands of registered voters.
Residents throughout this province have for decades experienced first hand the steady decay impacting their lives negatively because of the ANC’s failed governance.
Whether it is a lack of clean and reliable water supply, constant electricity outages, sewerage flowing down streets, unsafe roads, or the heaps of uncollected refuse that dot every community, the collapse in service delivery at the hands of ANC cadres are there for all to see.
This collapse in service delivery in dysfunctional North West municipalities directly contribute to the staggering unemployment rate in North West, where more than a million people who want to work, can’t find a job.
It is this lived reality by millions of North West residents that motivates the DA to continue the good fight, for improved service delivery and accountability, even from the opposition benches. We are ready to govern so that we can deliver more.
The time has come for North West voters to objectively assess the impact the ANC’s poor governance has on their lives and to look for a credible alternative on election day, to stop the decay and begin to fix what has been broken.
That alternative remains only the DA, elected to govern.
In the 2024 general election, North West voters pushed the ANC below 40%. On Wednesday, 04 November 2024, North West voters can push the ANC right out of local government by voting DA on all three ballots.
We call on all registered voters to mobilise on elections day, to vote DA, so that DA governments can stop the chaos and start service delivery in every municipality, every city, town and village in North West.
