Tomorrow, the Democratic Alliance Women’s Network (DAWN) Provincial Chairperson in the North West, Bea Campbell-Cloete, will attend a wreath laying ceremony in memory of Lizette and Hettie Deacon.
Lizette Deacon and her mother, Hettie Deacon, were tragically killed in their house in Welgelegen near the Cycad Estate in Polokwane on 10 September 2020.
Lizette and Hettie are originally from Klerksdorp and were an integral part of the community. The community will celebrate their lives and speak out against the rise of gender-based violence.
DAWN stands in solidarity with all women and victims of gender-based violence.
